Cheniere Energy announces the signing of long-term LNG supply contracts with QatarEnergy, running until 2054.

Cheniere Signs Long-Term Sale and Purchase Agreements to Supply QatarEnergy with LNG through 2054

Cheniere Energy, Inc. (“Cheniere” or the “Company”), listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: LNG), announced that its subsidiaries, Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC (“SPL”) and Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (“CCL”), have each entered into long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreements with QatarEnergy, covering a combined total of 4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) through 2054.

Under the terms of the agreements, QatarEnergy will purchase 2 mtpa of LNG from each subsidiary on a free-on-board (FOB) basis. The purchase price will be indexed to the Henry Hub natural gas benchmark, plus a fixed fee.

Deliveries are expected to commence in the early 2030s and continue through the end of 2054. However, 1 mtpa under the SPL agreement remains subject to a positive Final Investment Decision (FID) for the first phase of the Sabine Pass Expansion Project.
