Lubrication Engineers acquired BioBlend Renewable Resources on October 19, 2026, to expand its portfolio of sustainable, bio-based industrial lubricants. Based in Iowa, BioBlend produces biodegradable and hybrid lubricants for industries such as mining, marine, drilling, and food processing.
This acquisition is Lubrication Engineers’ fourth since partnering with Aurora Capital Partners in 2023, following purchases including Royal Purple Industrial, SWEPCO, and RSC Bio Solutions. The deal strengthens the company’s commitment to high-performance, environmentally friendly lubrication solutions.
The acquisition reflects a broader consolidation trend in the bio-based lubricants market, as private equity-backed companies expand their sustainable product offerings in response to growing environmental requirements. Financial terms were not disclosed.
