Endress+Hauser inaugurates its Cernay campus.

With more than 60 years of presence in Alsace, Endress+Hauser continues to expand its activities in France. The company has recently strengthened its regional footprint with the opening of Nexus, its new French headquarters on the Cernay campus, bringing its sales, service and production expertise together in one location.

Since 1991, the Cernay industrial site has manufactured electromagnetic, Vortex and ultrasonic flowmeters for markets worldwide. Following nine successive expansions, it has become the world’s largest production facility for electromagnetic flowmeters, employing nearly 700 people and having produced more than three million units. With the relocation of 120 employees from Huningue on January 5, 2026, the campus now brings together more than 800 employees across a 120,000 m² site.

Designed by Strasbourg-based architecture firm Oslo, the 5,700 m² Nexus building reflects Endress+Hauser’s commitment to customer experience, employee well-being, innovation and sustainability. Its facilities include a 120-seat auditorium, a Customer Experience Center, an innovation area and collaborative workspaces designed around Activity Based Working principles.

Environmental responsibility was central to the project. Built on the site of a former building, Nexus enabled 96% of the 1,405 tonnes of demolition waste to be reused or recycled. Compliant with France’s RE2020 environmental regulations, the building is expected to consume approximately 70% less energy than the former headquarters. Geothermal energy, photovoltaic panels, green roofs and an optimized heating and cooling system further reduce its environmental footprint. The project also supports the local economy, with 95% of the companies involved in its construction based in Alsace.

Finally, Endress+Hauser continues to invest in future industrial talent through apprenticeship programmes. The Cernay campus currently welcomes 64 apprentices across its French operations, working in partnership with local educational institutions to develop skills and promote careers in industry.

Through Nexus, Endress+Hauser reaffirms its long-term commitment to Alsace, combining industrial excellence, employee development and sustainable growth while strengthening collaboration and proximity to customers.
